This is a Strokeplay event.

  • December Medal results.

  • The December Medal took place on December 11/13/14/15 playing over Seafield golf course from the white tees and the weather for our playing days could not have contrasted more with hard frost and temporary greens in play for the early part of the week and the full greens back in play on a heavy underfoot surface as the week progressed. Twelve brave souls faced the conditions and in 3rd spot was Mark Mancini with a nett 64 (5 under par) with his round containing a birdie at hole 13. Runner-up shooting the best gross score of 70 (1 over par), albeit on brick hard fairways and with temporary greens, was John Brodie. With his round containing birdies at holes at holes 2/16/17/18 this resulted in a nett 61 (8 under par). Our clear winner who also braved the freezing conditions early in the week, was James Burnett with a gross 72 (nett 56 and 13 under par), with his solitary birdie coming at hole 15, on his way to a 5 stroke margin of victory.

  • Winter Aggregate 3 update.

  • Following the final leg of our Winter Aggregate the overall result in the new format (under par summary), has resulted in a tie between Ian Speirs and John Cathcart who finished 3 over par. A play-off will now take place, once the venue and format have been agreed by both players. The play-off will take place over either Belleisle/Lochgreen/Darley, once the format, (match play or stroke play) has been agreed. Robert Gilchrist and Ian Young finished third overall on 4 over par and well done to everyone who took part.

  • Winter League 3 draw.

  • The third leg of our Winter League takes place on December 18/20/21/22 playing over Fullarton golf course from the yellow tees and the draw is as follows: Wednesday game 1 is J Burnett, I Young; game 2 is J Brodie, S Kelly, G Cavanagh; Friday game is E Borland, (J Bryden), (G Christie); Saturday game is M Mancini, S Kirk; Sunday game with a late tee time is R Gilchrist, J Cathcart, I Speirs. I would remind everyone the reserve list has been withdrawn and players who wish to be added to a game MUST CONTACT DOUGIE BEATTIE. Any player who fails to do so and puts their name straight in to BRS will be disqualified but shall be charged the entry fee for the event and good luck to everyone taking part. This is a Stableford points event.

  • Winter Aggregate 3 results.

  • The final leg of our Winter Aggregate took place on December 4/6/7/8 playing over Darley golf course from the yellow tees. The competition was wide open with 2 scores from the three events counting against par but in the end, only 7 players participated in this leg of the event, thus cutting down the opportunity of many to triumph. Runner-up in leg 3 was Ian Young with a nett 73(1 over par) with an outward half of level par and 1 over par coming home. Our winner was Club Captain, Ian Speirs with a nett 71 (1 under par) made up of an outward half of 1 over par with his inward half of 2 under par, enough to take the spoils by 2 shots. An update on the overall result will be posted shortly.

  • Belleisle Sweep results.

  • A Sweep took place on November 27/29/30/Dec 1 playing over Belleisle golf course from the yellow tees and 8 members braved the cold and wet conditions on a course which was playing long with no carry on wet fairways. Only the top two scores were par or better as the conditions took their toll. Runner-up with a nett 70 (level par) was David Edgar and with his birdie at the opening hole, he may have thought it was a day for a good score. However, a run of bogeys on holes 2-4 and 10-13 meant he would only finish level par. Our winner with the best gross score of 73 (3 over par) was Club Champion, Robert Gilchrist with his round containing birdies at holes 1/5/14 as he triumphed by a single shot.

  • Electronic score returns

  • Please refer to the email instruction sent out on 10/08/20. If members require further assistance in this matter they should contact Dougie Beattie (Handicap Secretary).

  • Amendment to procedure

  • Following 2 incidents where a member was left without a game, the following procedure must now be followed by all players who pull out of a game after the draw has been made. It is now a requirement that the player pulling out contacts EVERYONE PLAYING IN THE GROUP to inform them. This should happen as a common courtesy but clearly has not been.
